Sirius Style was conceived during a conversation between my son, Jon-Paul and I.  The subject; shaving brushes and their obvious shortcomings!  Generally they are neither an instrument nor a tool and yet they can form an essential part of a man’s daily routine.  We sat and deliberated I went over to the workshop, started my lathe; and Sirius was born! We believe that the Sirius brush is a quantum leap forward in shaving brush design.  Significantly longer than the norm, it fills your hand like a firm handshake, the weight is concentrated at the back of the brush to offer some counterbalance to the choice of silvertip badger or premium synthetic head which we supply as standard.

Each Sirius brush is handmade and whether you prefer Acrylic, wood or other natural or synthetic materials, each brush will be an individual and unique to its owner.

 

 JP is keen to promote the use of acrylic and has ambitious ideas for design and for incorporating different materials, colours and techniques whilst I prefer the numerous fascinating timbers which can be available and am anxious to promote the idea of, “Upcycling”, whenever I see a possibility.

we both feel that a Sirius Style Brush should be more than just a tool, if you can pick it up and become distracted by it for a moment then we feel we have achieved this.
