Beautiful Olive Wood Shaving Brush

Beautiful Olive Wood Shaving Brush

Wow!  Well I had never turned Olive wood until quite recently;  I found a few small pieces at the back of a shelf in a yard not far from my home, they were astonishingly expensive for such small bits of timber, I thought ... very pretty though. Over the years I seem to have developed a kind of second sight and I can often see the patterns and prospects before they emerge.  It worked for this brush!! The darker the wood the older the tree I have been told, which makes this piece of wood quite ancient, ( Wikipedia tells me that one Olive tree has been carbon dated and found to be over 2000 years old)

Very dense, very hard,   hand turning this piece of wood into a shaving brush handle played havoc with my tools. I hope you think it has been worthwhile. As sometimes happens I considered adding some decorative feature but you know this shaving brush needs no further help from me ... it’s beautiful!

This Sirius Style brush is seriously fit for purpose; the 24mm premium silver tip badger head holds a huge amount of water and will produce a rich creamy lather, for both bowl and cream shavers alike, whilst the firm but soft bristles gently exfoliate the skin.  It is no wonder that this head is the first choice for millions of discerning shavers. If you haven’t yet experienced it, then perhaps this is your chance.

If a craftsman is measured by the quality of his tools:  Then this brush will stand you head and shoulders above the crowd.
