Canadian Maple Shaving Brush with Spiral Design

Canadian Maple Shaving Brush with Spiral Design

This particular brush is hand turned from a block of Canadian Maple, selected personally by me, because I was excited to know that it came from that part of the tree closest to the heart where the wood is densest and heaviest and is able to hold detail more easily. The continuous spiral is a very exacting process and it’s difficult to achieve a perfect finish and of course only perfection is good enough! I soak the wood in natural shellac overnight to seal it completely and then leave it for several days to harden, this protects the wood forever and assists in forming the spiral ... even so only one in three is a success!   I finished the whole handle, top and bottom with several coats of the same kind of lacquer you might find protecting your car. It should last for generations to come : )

This Sirius Style brush is seriously fit for purpose; the 24mm premium silver tip badger head holds a huge amount of water and will produce a rich creamy lather, for both bowl and cream shavers alike, whilst the firm but soft bristles gently exfoliate the skin.  It is no wonder that this head is the first choice for millions of discerning shavers. If you haven’t yet experienced it, then perhaps this is your chance.

If a craftsman is measured by the quality of his tools:  Then this brush will stand you head and shoulders above the crowd.
